Question 1

What is the Startup School and how can I join?

Accepted Answer

The Startup School is the open entry point to Rabwah2045. It is a free weekly online session, every Thursday for 60 minutes (16:00 UTC / 21:00 Pakistan), with practical founder lessons, guest experts and one concrete challenge each week, from interviewing customers to building a first MVP. It is open to people in Rabwah, the global diaspora and anyone who shares the mission. There is no application and no prior experience required; you simply register.

Question 2

What is the AI Founder Fellowship and who can apply?

Accepted Answer

The AI Founder Fellowship is an 8-week selective validation program for serious founder teams of two or more. Instead of theory, teams do real work: problem discovery, at least 20 customer interviews, AI opportunity design, MVP planning, a business model and a final pitch. At least one founder per team works from Rabwah during the required program days. The strongest 3 to 5 teams are then selected for the 6-month Startup Pilot.

Question 3

Do I need to live in Rabwah to participate?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the stage. The Startup School is fully open and online, so anyone can take part from anywhere. For the AI Founder Fellowship and the Startup Pilot, at least one founder per team must be active on the ground in Rabwah, while other team members can contribute remotely. The goal is to build real companies rooted in Rabwah while staying connected to the world.

Question 4

What support do selected startup teams receive?

Accepted Answer

Teams selected for the Startup Pilot receive six months of hands-on support: mentoring from international operators, access to the startup hub, shared tools, and milestone-based funding. Funding is released in stages tied to real progress, such as company formation, MVP and customer validation, and early traction. There are no upfront payouts; each next tranche depends on reaching the agreed milestone.

Question 5

Do you take equity from startups in the programs?

Accepted Answer

No. The Startup School, the AI Founder Fellowship and the first Startup Pilot do not take any equity. Later on, the Social Business Fund may invest in proven teams in exchange for a stake, but always on social business principles, where returns flow back into Rabwah rather than to private shareholders. That investment structure is currently in preparation, and no terms are offered before the legal review is complete.

Question 6

How can I actively contribute?

Accepted Answer

There are many ways to contribute, matched to your time and experience. You can join as a Lead Mentor or Mentor, a Strategic Advisor, an Anchor Supporter, a Connector or a Local Partner. If you want to build rather than advise, the Startup School is your entry point, open to everyone. Even one introduction, one review call or one focused contribution can have a lasting effect.

Question 7

What personal benefits do I have?

Accepted Answer

Rabwah2045 is designed to create opportunity close to home: the chance to learn how startups are built, to be mentored by international operators, and to earn internationally while living in Rabwah. For founders, it is a path from first idea to a real company. For the wider community, it means more qualified jobs, role models and a growing local ecosystem.

Question 8

How do you ensure all residents benefit, regardless of affiliation?

Accepted Answer

Rabwah2045 is open to all residents of Rabwah, without regard to background or affiliation. Programs are open-entry at the start, and selection into later stages is based on commitment and results, not connections. As the Rabwah2045 Foundation gGmbH (in preparation) takes shape, transparent governance and public reporting will keep this principle verifiable.

Question 9

How does a social business investment work, and what return can I expect?

Accepted Answer

Rabwah2045 follows the social business model made known by Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus. Investors can receive back at most the amount they originally invested; there are no dividends or profits beyond that. Every gain stays in the mission and is reinvested into Rabwah's ecosystem. The vehicle for this, the Social Business Fund, is currently in preparation, and no investments are being solicited before the legal structure is complete.

Question 10

How is sustainability ensured beyond 2045?

Accepted Answer

The model is built to sustain itself rather than depend on continuous outside funding. Returns from proven companies flow back through the Social Business Fund into new cohorts, and successful founders return as mentors and investors for the next generation. The Rabwah2045 Foundation gGmbH (in preparation) is designed to hold this structure over the long term, so capital and knowledge stay within Rabwah.

Question 11

Is there a guarantee I get my money back?

Accepted Answer

No. Like any investment in early-stage companies, there is real risk, and you may receive back less than you invested, or nothing. What we can promise is transparency: milestone-based funding, published documents and open reporting, so you always know how funds are used. The social business principle also means that any upside stays in the mission rather than going to private profit.

Question 12

Who decides which startups are supported?

Accepted Answer

Selection follows the pipeline, not personal favor. Teams prove themselves through the Startup School and the AI Founder Fellowship, where progress is measured by real customer work. Mentors review each team, and the strongest 3 to 5 are chosen for the Startup Pilot. As the Social Business Fund takes shape, a dedicated investment committee will govern later funding decisions.

Question 13

How will the Fund invest in startups?

Accepted Answer

The Social Business Fund is intended to provide follow-on investment into the strongest, proven teams, on social business terms. Because the legal structure is currently in preparation, no specific conditions or terms are being offered yet. Details will be published once the structure is complete and reviewed.

Question 14

Donation vs. investment: what is the difference?

Accepted Answer

A donation supports the work directly and is not paid back: it funds the first programs, the startup hub and founder support today. An investment, through the future Social Business Fund, can return at most the original amount, with all further gains reinvested into Rabwah. In short: donors make the first proof possible today; investors help scale proven companies tomorrow.

Question 15

What tax benefits do I have?

Accepted Answer

Rabwah2045 is establishing the Rabwah2045 Foundation gGmbH, a non-profit structure under German law. Once the gGmbH is established, it will be able to issue donation receipts that are tax-deductible within the applicable rules. Until then, we are transparent that this is still in preparation, and we do not want to promise tax benefits that are not yet in place.

Question 16

Can I donate to specific areas?

Accepted Answer

Yes. As the structure allows, you will be able to direct your support to specific areas, such as the startup hub, the Founder Fellowship or milestone funding for teams. If you have a particular focus in mind, get in touch and we will find the right fit. All allocations are documented as part of our transparent reporting.

Question 17

How can I stay updated?

Accepted Answer

The best way is to follow the official Rabwah2045 WhatsApp channel, where we share updates, events and documents (your phone number stays private). You can also sign up for occasional email updates through the "Get updates" form, or follow the journey on LinkedIn. We only write when there is real progress to share, so no email floods.

Question 18

Are there plans to transfer the model to other cities?

Accepted Answer

Our full focus right now is Rabwah. If the model works here and proves itself, the principles behind it, focused founder support, remote-first work and diaspora capital, could inspire similar efforts elsewhere. But we would rather prove it in one city first than promise it everywhere.

Question 19

What values and principles guide Rabwah2045?

Accepted Answer

Rabwah2045 is built on help for self-help: creating opportunity so people can build their own future, rather than dependency. The work is guided by transparency, discipline and long-term commitment, with progress measured by real results. Above all, it is about dignity: the belief that talent in Rabwah deserves the same chance as talent anywhere.

Question 20

How will funds be raised?

Accepted Answer

Funding comes in layers. Today, the Pilot Support Pool (€50,000 to €100,000) finances the first complete pilot. We raise it from diaspora supporters and seek grants from foundations, development agencies and government programs. Over time, the Social Business Fund is designed to become the long-term capital engine, reinvesting returns from proven companies.

Question 21

Are the people involved volunteers or paid employees?

Accepted Answer

At this stage, Rabwah2045 is carried by volunteers: the Founding Circle of mentors, advisors and supporters who contribute their time and networks. As the initiative grows and the gGmbH is established, some essential roles, such as local coordination in Rabwah, will be funded so the work stays reliable. Every paid role is documented transparently in our budgets.

Question 22

Who can benefit from Rabwah2045?

Accepted Answer

All residents of Rabwah can benefit, directly or indirectly. Founders and builders gain programs, mentorship and capital; the wider community gains qualified jobs, role models and a growing local economy. Members of the global diaspora benefit too, by mentoring, investing or partnering with founders back home.

Question 23

Why support top talents instead of the poorest residents?

Accepted Answer

Because this is help for self-help, and the fastest way to lift a whole community is to build companies that create jobs. Supporting capable founders means those founders hire, train and mentor others, so the benefit spreads far beyond the individual. It is not a choice against the poorest; it is a strategy to create the jobs and opportunities that reach them.

Question 24

How do you ensure funds are used safely and transparently?

Accepted Answer

Transparency is built into the structure. The Rabwah2045 Foundation gGmbH (in preparation) operates under German non-profit law and oversight, governance is drawn from the Founding Circle with relevant expertise, and funding to teams is released only against proven milestones. Budgets, documents and progress are published openly, so anyone can follow where the money goes.

Question 25

Why the name Rabwah2045?

Accepted Answer

Rabwah is the city this initiative is built for and around. 2045 is the horizon we work toward: a generation-long commitment rather than a quick project. The name is a reminder that real change takes time, and that we are building something meant to outlast any single year or person.

Question 26

Why a separate social business in Rabwah?

Accepted Answer

A dedicated social business keeps the focus and the money where they belong: on building companies and jobs in Rabwah, with a clear, transparent structure. It lets returns be reinvested locally instead of flowing out, and it creates a model others can see and trust. This is about proving that a self-sustaining ecosystem can be built in one city with the need, the talent and the network.

Question 27

What legal structure does Rabwah2045 have?

Accepted Answer

Rabwah2045 is establishing the Rabwah2045 Foundation gGmbH, a non-profit limited company under German law, currently in preparation. It provides a transparent framework for donations, investments, governance and long-term operations. The Social Business Fund, which will handle future investments, is a separate vehicle whose structure is also in preparation.

Question 28

What has Rabwah2045 achieved so far?

Accepted Answer

Rabwah2045 is deliberately early, and we report honestly. The Founding Circle is forming, the Startup School launches as the weekly open program, and ten public strategy documents are already available. The foundation rests on real proof: in the past, 130 people in Rabwah worked 100% remotely for German and international clients, showing that world-class remote work can be delivered from the city.
